 I had my first litter of puppies from Holly and Angus in 05/03 and I enjoyed the experience so much that I knew I had discovered a way to share my love of  Dachshunds. Holly had three wonderful litters and now has been retired. She still rules the house and demands the best spots on the couch and in the bed.

Since every Queen deserves a King, I decided it was time for my husband to have his own boy. I bought him Angus for our anniversary. He is the first male dog we have ever had. Angus is all muscle at around 16 lbs. We never imagined he would be such a sweet boy! He and Holly had the most wonderful puppies together!  Thank goodness our son talked us into keeping a female from one of the litters!.................

Prissy is our 2nd generation baby. She has the best traits from both her Mom - Holly and Dad -Angus. She has the sweetest disposition and loves to give kisses. Prissy is one of our larger females at around 18 lbs. She has had  two litters of puppies of which we have kept a next generation baby..............

  Dogwood Acres Red Lady "Lucy" Lu

Little Lucy is our 3rd generation baby.She has so many traits from her Mom-Prissy! She loves to give kisses and seems to know how special she is to us! She favors her grandmother Holly in her conformation. We think she is a beautiful extension of our original line.

      Dogwood Acres Angus's "Mini Me"

                    DOB 02/23/08

"Mini Me" got her name because she is such a little junior Angus. To duplicate the awesome traits of Holly and Angus, Mini-Me was a result of line breeding. She has his personality, looks, and mannerisms, and Holly's as well. We look forward to many happy days ahead with her. She is our 4th generation baby!

   Dogwood Acres Red Moxie " Mango "          

                     DOB 02/10/09

 Lucy Lu's  Little Mango reminded me of "Grandma Holly" from the moment I helped deliver her! She is always laying on her back with all four feet in the air and that tail is always in motion! Mango is actually a chocolate based red, we call her our little Viszla dog due to her chocolate nose, eyes and nails. What a sweetie!

 Little Lizzie is another Lucy Lu baby. She looks just like her Mama and Great Grandma and is a great addition to our program, adding yet another generation baby to the line!
